It's the Battle of Castle Black!  We've waited all season for this epic night of epicness, and pays off immensely!  Giants, mammoths, wildlings, ballistas, scythes, gaping neck wounds that make you drown in your own blood, .... this battle has EVERYTHING!  That Jon Snow guy shows strong leadership and tremendous bravery, but when he locks eyes with Ygritte from across the carnage, they both lose their lust for battle as Cupid's arrow pierces clean through all of their animosity.

Oh yeah, and Ollie does something.

Brothers ALMOST meet when Bran's and Jon's paths cross at The Keep Formerly Belonging to Craster.  Bran practices his best Hodoring, Jon makes arguably the coolest kill in the show to-date, and then they go their separate ways because Bran super-duper needs find the magic tree where it's always sunset. And then... acorn bombs, nonchalant stabbings, and a weird old dude who appears to be Velcroed to a bunch of branches.

It seems that one of the best lessons for surviving in Westeros is: If you see Arya and The Hound coming, RUN! They might not kill you themselves, or maybe they will, but odds are good that someone is going to die soon. Brienne and Podrick stumble into this traveling doom and they try to help, but things go south quickly and ....

Someone.
Might.
die.

Here we find the Season 4 tales of both Sansa Stark and Theon "Reek" Greyjoy.  It's hard to say why, but it just felt like these two short stories were best combined into a single episode.  Sansa's adventure in The Aerie probably left her wondering if getting out of King's Landing was really worthy THIS level of creepiness.  As for Theon... well, he gets to try out life as a thespian, playing the one role he was basically born to play.  Oh, and he gets a bath, so he's got that going for him.

After freeing the city, Daenerys Targaryen has very few dull moments while trying to rule Mereen.  Her advisors rarely agree with her gut instincts, and one of them is constantly trying to have a go at helping her make some more dragons.  Actually, make that two of them, but it turns out one isn't as entirely trustworthy as she hoped.  Dany's children, meanwhile, are causing all kinds of trouble - mostly that Drogon the Menace, who just won't stop bothering Old Master Wilson.

Oh, and Grey Worm, what's ... umm .... you know .... going on down... there?

Tyrion Lannister figures that the best way to beat a murder rap is to announce how badly he wishes he could kill everyone else.  When this doesn't pan out, it's time to fight for his life via proxy, and it's an incredible duel worthy of The Princess Bride ... except for the language and the blood and ... oh lord, someone has to clean that up!

Stannis Baratheon is what we might call "hard to read."  Unlike his zealot wife, Selise, or his not-into-it daughter, Shireen, Stannis doesn't seem like the truest of believers, but if Melisandre and the Lord of Light can get him that throne, he's OK with almost anything... except harming his daughter (DON'T FORGET THAT).  Davos gets an idea to take out a loan from the Iron Bank, but they don't have a branch in Dragonstone, so it's a long trip that *almost* leads to nothing.

Joffrey's wedding didn't much meet up with HIS expectations, but it ended on a high note for a lot of other people, especially Grandma Olenna.  Jamie and Cersei are both devastated, though, and Jamie manages to work through his grief by doing something pretty appalling.  Margaery puts forward her best effort on outmaneuvering Cersei, and it wouldn't be so bad if Tommen wasn't an innocent pre-teen who just loves his wittle-kitty-cat.  This show is messed UP, but we sure do love it anyway!

Season 3 comes to a close with the romantic tale of the wedding of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey. It goes smoothly, the party is wonderful and lovely, and ... I think they ate... red velvet cake? Yeah, that must have been it.
